HAYN Volunteering Academy
The HAYN Volunteering Academy aims to support young people to become leaders within, and ambassadors for, their communities. The Academy provides young people with funding and resources to volunteer or to design and deliver social action projects to support themselves, their peers and their wider communities.
We are pleased to announce that we are a match funder and ambassador of the #iwill Fund. Led by Clarion Futures, the HAYN Volunteering Academy has received a grant of £840,000 from the #iwill Fund. Clarion Futures and HAYN partner Peabody are providing match funding – giving the project a total budget of £1.68 million pounds over three years.
Community Ambassador Programme
The Community Ambassador Programme was an initiative launched by Clarion Futures, the charitable foundation of Clarion Housing Group in 2013.
A Community Ambassador Programme is a 12 month programme for teams of up to 10-12 young people aged 11-19 (75% should be social housing residents) who are passionate about making a positive difference in their communities while developing their own skills and knowledge. This innovative fund aims to bring together a coalition of housing associations and youth organisations from different fields which will receive £10K to run a CAP and create the conditions to embed meaningful social action into the lives of young people and their local residents.
Working in partnership with UK Youth, we aim to run 20 new CAP programmes per year across the UK.
Young Leader Programme
Peabody is funding 11-25 year olds to develop their own projects, activities and events for other young people and residents in their local area. Young people can then become Young Ambassadors. They will be provided with bespoke training to represent their peers and communities across a variety of structured forums.
